Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama is placed under Secret Service Protection because of increased threats and a heavier campaign schedule. Other candidates could receive protection as well if they meet certain basic qualifications. According to law enforcement there has not been a specific threat, but there has been hate mail and threatening calls which could probably scare anyone who is addressing the public as much as a presidential candidate. I hope any threat is simply just that a threat and nothing more. Idiots who make threats are nothing more than insecure cowards who believe their propaganda bullshit is the only method or alternative to making the world a better place.
