Boris Yelstin Dies at Age 76

Boris Yeltsin died Monday afternoon due to heart failure at the age of 76. The charismatic alcoholic was the first democratically elected president of Russia in 1991. Yeltsin was credited for dissolving a coup attempt to take down Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev. Yeltsin's political career will certainly be remembered as a controversial time in Russia's history. RIP.

Gonzales Hits The Chopping Block

Tomorrow will be an important day for the Attorney General. Gonzales is going to appear in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee to answer questions regarding the firing of eight U.S. Attorneys last year. Gonzales better choose his answers carefully and not further embedded himself in the lies such as when he said he had no part in the firing of the eight U.S. Attorneys. I hope Sen. Charles Schumer rips him a new asshole making Gonzales accountable for his actions. I thought former U.S. Attorney Ashcroft was worthless (remember he lost his senate seat to a dead guy)but Bush's buddy may take the cake.

Virginia Tech Killings

My only thought on today's horrific event that took place at Virginia Tech is that at times like this blind faith in God and life after death is needed more than ever.

Cheney Thinks Dems Are Whimps

DICKhead Cheney thinks the Democrats will puss out and will pass a bill that will have no time constraints for troop withdrawal. I hope this friend shooting S.O.B. is wrong. Backing down on partisan beliefs now is a sign of weakness for both parties. The only difference is the Democrats are correct and Bush doesn't know what the hell he is doing. The only problem that will arise with this bill is the veto. I doubt the Dems will have enough votes to overturn a veto.

White House is Missing 5 million emails

Can any conservative explain this one? How can the federal gov't specifically the executive office, lose five million emails? I have worked for state and federal government and everything is backed up. Hell the back up tapes are even taped. To say five million emails are missing indicates that the Bush administration is yet again hiding information, doing something sneaky, and probably illegal. Some emails requested during the Scooter Libby trial are amongst the missing messages. I wonder how much corruption is allowed in our government at this point. If Clinton can get impeached from screwing a blimp (sorry conservatives, I mean lying while under oath)why can't Bush get slapped on the wrist?

Hillary Loves Basketball, Hates Imus

Here is an email I got from the Hillary Campaign:

When our children are young, we teach them to dream big and reach for the stars, and that if they work hard enough they can accomplish anything.

This year the Rutgers women's basketball team defied the odds and lived up to their dreams, providing inspiration to every little boy and girl beginning to pick up a ball or open a book. These remarkable young women reached the pinnacle of success and won the hearts of basketball fans everywhere with their grace, skill, and poise. They are role models deserving our praise -- and our support.

Don Imus's comments about them were nothing more than small-minded bigotry and coarse sexism. They showed a disregard for basic decency and were disrespectful and degrading to African Americans and women everywhere.

Please join me in sending the young women of Rutgers a message of respect and support. Show them that we are proud to stand with them and for them.

Just because the old fart is a bigot, why do we have to incorporate this into the 2008 campaign? I don't think Imus has any political influence over any election. The man is older than dust and I am willing to bet not one of the Rutgers women's basketball players have even heard of Imus. Hillary we all know that you support African Americans, women, all minorities, etc, after all you are married to the first black president. We don't need to hear about your thoughts on the issue. Imus screwed up, big time. By giving his comments more attention he will gain free publicity, which will probably give him higher ratings (which he does not deserve). Please do not add fuel to the fire in the media on this matter. There are more important issues like the War in Iraq, Attorney General scandal, etc.

Anna Nicole Smith's Baby Has A Daddy

Dannielynn's father is Larry Birkhead. I guess her birth certificate will need to be changed considering it has Howard K. Stern as the father. Now that Anna's moment in the spotlight has come and gone the media can focus on more important issues like talk show hosts who make racists comments and how Bush blames the Democrats for passing a bill that has non-binding requests to have the troops come home from Iraq. Of course we must not forget a certain Attorney General as well. Gonzales/Justice Dept. was subpoenaed to provide additional info in regards to the firing of 8 U.S. Attorney Generals. I wonder what the House Judiciary Committee will find when additional info is provided.
